BUSINESSES REOPENING Certain businesses providing services with limited person-to-person contact, including appliance repair, and pet grooming services, can now resume operations. Retail and other businesses can continue to do curbside, storefront pickups, and delivery under specific conditions. See the full list of Essential, Outdoor, & Additional Businesses in Alameda County.
Alameda County also shared their Reopening Plan which includes movement to future stages contingent upon local COVID-19 indicators, at 2-4 week intervals. The County is collaborating with five other Bay Area counties to slow the spread of COVID-19 and preserve critical health care capacity across the region.
ESSENTIAL TRAVEL Travel is still limited for essential purposes, however, future reopening phases will include leisure travel.
FACE COVERINGS REQUIRED Beginning at 11:59 p.m. on June 7, 2020, all people in the County must comply with the new Required Face Covering Order: people must, unless an exception applies, wear a face covering when outside and when anyone else other than just members of their Social Bubble is within 30 feet (10 yards). Violation of or failure to comply with this Order is a misdemeanor punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both. Please visit the Alameda County Public Health Department website to review the full Order.
